Working From Home continues its important to stick to a routine or find a new routine in this transition.
I love a good morning routine to get the day started. I know most people may not like mornings, but I hope my tips can help you change your perspective.
6 A.M. – Waking up and getting out of bed can be a struggle. During this time, I allow myself time to enjoy my bed and drink water. Before, the transition, I was really trying to establish a better relationship with my faith. I had a suggestion to do the first 15, 5 minutes of prayer, 5 minutes of worship and 5 minutes of journaling. You don’t have to stick to this constraint, if you feel the need to take longer do so. However, use this timing as your minimum.
6:30 AM – Once this is done and I’m out of bed, I like to actually make my bed, setting the tone of the transition to work. Usually I would go to the gym at this time, but with the gyms being closed, I take walks and do light exercise.
Even if you decide not to take a walk, still follow my next steps. Take a shower, change out of sweats and put on your good leggings or tights with a nice sweater or top. Make yourself identify the transition of work mode and not relax mode. Especially if you need to take zoom calls, you want to still look a bit professional.
7:30 AM – Continue with your skincare routine maybe do a light makeup routine.
“If you look the part, you feel the part.”
During this time, I decided to build a new makeup routine. I decided to try a new mascara, Lash Volumizing Mascara from Buxom Cosmetics. Even though we’re in self-isolation still need to get ready for the possible summer we may have.
The mascara is a great volumizing mascara that defines, lengthens and gives you a fuller looking effect. The formula is infused with vitamins and antioxidants that nourishes and softens.
I know it can be hard to actually get ready when you have no where to go, but it actually helps to get you in the mindset to be productive and get stuff done.
8 A.M. – Now that I am ready for the day, I like to make myself a nutritional meal. This is important to stay fueled up so I don’t feel the need to snack throughout the day and give myself the proper nutrients.
8:30 A.M. – I set my goals for the day. I know for some it can feel like, I’m not going anywhere so I can’t accomplish anything, but now is the best time to set goals for yourself to confirm that you did accomplish something and didn’t just sit there all day.
9 A.M. – Time to work from home. I like to start my day going through emails and different slack channels to catch up on anything I miss. Say hello to my colleagues and begin transitioning to the workday.
What is your morning routine as you work from home? How have you switched up your usual routine? Have you tried new products during this time?
